Brother MFC-J6935DW reviewed by Noeneel Sharma

Finding a great business office printer takes a little bit of thought and comparison. However, one of the most reliable brands on the market is Brother. This company claims to be “at your side” for all printer needs in any home or office situation. Brother offers one of the best business office inkjet printers in their MFC-J6935DW model, which does more than just print at high volumes.

Features

This printer offers the ability for full A3 printing, copying, scanning, and faxing. Unlike other business office inkjets, this printer will do color printing. It can print fast at speeds up to 22 pages per minute in black and white, and it can also do up to 20 pages per minute in color. The packaging comes with a high-yield cartridge in the box, and other such cartridges can be purchased directly from Brother. Unlike other printers, this one does not need to be connected to a router for communicating with different computers. Instead, computers can hook up to it wirelessly through the Wi-Fi Direct feature. Furthermore, Android phones can use the NFC feature for printing directly from smartphones.

Design

This printer does more than just print documents. It can make copies, scan documents to a computer or USB drive, and even send a fax. Another scanning storage option is to send documents to a cloud database. Documents can be copied and converted into multiple file types using this feature alone. The paper tray holds up to an entire ream of paper – or 500 sheets. It also comes with a multipurpose tray that can also hold additional 100 sheets of paper. In order to reduce the printing costs, this printer can also copy and print onto both sides of the paper. Therefore, business offices can virtually cut the amount of paper they use in half. Another nice feature of this printer is the automatic paper notification that detects low levels of paper. This feature was designed to help eliminate downtime between prints in a shared environment.

Performance

When it comes to printing at high volumes, this business inkjet printer offers some of the best cost saving arrangements. It can work on Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10. Additionally, it works with OS X v10.9 5/10 and Linux CUPS. Many business offices like the fact that this printer can print out the first page within six seconds of a document being received by the printer itself. It does not need to take time for warming up at the beginning of each print. It also provides color enhancement for customizing the color output. Documents can be printed on posters and in A5 booklet format. One of the more alluring features of this printer is the watermarking feature. The watermark provided can be created with user-defined settings. Finally, if the color ink runs out, then the print job will automatically finish in black and white mode.

Final Thoughts

For a business office in need of a printer that multitasks as a copier, scanner, and fax machine, Brother’s MFC-J6935DW is one of the best options on the market. As far as black and white and color printing goes, it offers some of the fastest printing speeds. However, it is a bit slower on copying. Overall, this printer is more than worth purchasing in high-volume, shared-printing environments.
